Take a Laser and Light-Guided Tour Through Jaguar Performance History at the 2016 LDN Design Biennale

To enthusiastic acclaim at the Somerset House of London's 2016 LDN Design Biennale, the Jaguar design team used a trifecta of lasers, light guide technology and expert knowledge to create a virtual performance-minded vehicle of the future, flanked by video of defining moments past and present in Jaguar history, including its memorable Le Mans 1988 motor racing victory.

Through rooms of laser-powered light guides the art installation-goers went, and Jaguar's team along the way beset them with a distinctive virtual image of the automaker's E-Type icon, only to morph it to their delight into today's family sports car iteration, the breathtaking F-PACE. We then pass on to a "gallery of the future," where light guides traced the course of a design world of both challenges and rapid revolutions, highlighting the perils and promise of taking up new design prospects, from driver health and wellbeing, new powertrain tech and interior cabin needs, to the human-machine relationship of the future and the autonomous driving tech that will herald it.

A three-dimensional laser-and-light-guide rendition of a floating, transcendent machine delivered the final touch, a vision, nigh sculpture, of the vehicle of the future created by Jaguar Creative Specialist Hugo Nightingale and the Imagination creative agency. Did it bespeak potential answers to these challenges? Interpretation remained the realm of the viewer and the critic at the Biennale, but suffice it to say, we at Sill-TerHar Motors, Inc. look forward to the exploration.

And the best place to begin is the here-and-now. Our Alter Street showroom here in Broomfield, CO, offers Jaguar models in the F-PACE, F-TYPE, XE, XF and XJ lines, spanning the years 2013, 2016 and 2017. Come on in from Boulder, Denver, Aurora, Lakewood and environs, and our expert staff will be happy to introduce you to the performance Jaguar of your dreams.
